Update on my cause, The Bottom Line!

This is a busy time of year for Bottom Line, with high school seniors working on applications and college students studying for finals.   Right now, slightly less than 300 of our 625 HS seniors have completed their college applications. Over the next few weeks, the counselors will help hundreds more finish their applications and send them out to their list of colleges.

This week, Bottom Line counselors visited the Bottom Line college students at Bridgewater State College and Boston College. In both cases, counselors were making sure that finals were going well, and if any student was facing a problem, their counselor helped them deal with the issue and move past it.

Bottom Line is also planning their 2010 Career Fair (known as the Go Far Forum), which will take place on January 13th. At that event, Bottom Line will bring together some of the top employers in the city to meet with our students and tell them about some exciting career opportunities.

Finally, some
exciting news: The Channel 5 TV show, Chronicle, came to the Bottom Line office and came to Boston College with them to film a segment on the Bottom Line program. It will be airing sometime in mid-to-late December.  I'll definitely keep you posted on that!   (Courtesy, The Bottom Line)
